Hello,
I work at Yonge/Finch in North York, and my colleagues and I go to that Bowlerama all the time (uh...it's for business...uh, team-building! Yeah, that's it! Seriously, though, we do go there for team events, and we see either Asian teenagers there (with other Asian teenagers) or Caucasian senior citizens. Maybe I'm just going at the wrong time...
It's interesting, because I was corresponding with someone last year and I mentioned that I barely see any Asian male / non-Asian females anywhere in Toronto. Lots of Asian females and non-Asian males. She said that she saw it all the time, and maybe I'm just not paying much attention (this could be it, since I am pretty dense, as my wife tells me). Or it could simply be location. It was suggested that in high-Asian populated areas like where I work and where I live, interracial dating may be frowned upon.
I have to think for a sec here...I've worked at Yonge/Finch (roughly the area you were referring to where the Bowlerama is) for seven-plus years now. Aside from the occasional office worker photo on their desk, I can't recall anytime where I have seen an Asian male and non-Asian female on the street, in the restaurants, etc. But I am pretty sure it's just not me paying much attention to these things, since a new burger joint opened up nearby and people were raving about it, but I had no idea where it was. It turns out that I walk pass it every day and just did not bother to notice...
I'm glad that I'm not employed as a lifeguard.
P.S. The person with whom I was corresponding on this topic mentioned that downtown Toronto on the West End, there is a large concentration of AM / WF.
