Do you think Canadian doctors are rude? I went to a walk-in clinic today, and the second time it happened that a doctor wouldn't even make an effort to shake my hand. Then this one asked questions of my personal life that are actually irrelevant to the issue that made me go to a clinic. When I left, again, no effort to shake my hand, she didn't look at me when I left... She was just buried in her papers. Maybe Canadian med schools skip the course of patient psychology and how to meet them. The thing is that you go to a doctor with your problems, you are vulnerable to them as you allow them to treat you and examine you.
If there are nice doctors in Toronto, I would love to have their names. Rather someone older (at least middle-aged) who is experienced.
Doctors try to avoid shaking hands with people nowadays due to fear of bacteria contamination. Doctors are indeed are deeply buried with tons of paper work. They become too absorbed in work. It doesn't mean that they aren't aware of patients problems. Walk-in clinics tend to be less personal. I have my own doctor for years thus he tends to engage in conversation with patients in greater detail than walk-in clinic doctor.
Why are there so few female doctors in Canada? Aren't Canadian girls interested in medicine?
i don't know, i don't live there. i never researched it...but you can ask picard, i am sure he will research that not like important things like headaches and life coaches.
i thought i should explain something i wrote earlier...i think you should ask local women around that area that might be your friend or a friend of your boyfriend...or if he has a sister or something like that in the area, even better...about the doctors there.

why would I ask Picard? I just wonder why girls rarely study medicine here.
