the school was sleeping at the wheel about this whole thing, as soon as the white kids put up the nooses, they shouldve had school wide sensitivity training and the whole school shouldve addressed and face the racial issues and not let it escalate. the specific perpetrators should have been charged with a hate crime to hammer home the severity of their actions. now that it has pushed these black kids into retaliating physically, its a bit late to just let the beating go unpunished either. (albeit an attempted murder charge is too severe) basically a shit situation is now worst because the town didnt want to face their own racism problems.

well considering its Louisiana, i'd bet a small amount of money that the legal system is still very racist, but i'd hedge that bet by saying those Six probably did do something bad.

yeah, it's the same in LA. i wouldn't even raise an eyebrow about things like this cuz it's just "LIFE" to me.

You're right. It's very racist.
It's been so bad that the FBI took a task force down to the ArkLaTex area to try to quell it, but too little, too late.
There have been a few hangings, draggings/beheadings in that area in the last few years, and it's becoming all too popular among whites who know and are friendly with their black victims.
