Anybody can help me for in information in Vancouver
Hi ladies and gentlemen:
I'm newly to Vancouver because of a job-switching, so still trying to settle down in this nice city. I'm just wondering where and how I can meet some cute white girls in this city, people seems less approachable here. Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks a lot!
Downtown Vancouver shopping on Granville or Robson during the day is good. Metrotown and Pacific Centre malls are great as well. If u want to meet a lot of beautiful women all in 1 place, I suggest Republic, Ginger 62 (a lot of models and film people), and Caprice on Granville. Opus Lounge is where you'll find the odd Celeb (hockey players, actresses, etc.).
And yes, Vancouver is a hard city to meet people. Master it in vancouver and everywhere else is a piece of cake!
Also, why limit yourself to white girls when you can meet beautiful women of all races?
"Pumpkin, this is Mavi... Your New Daddeeeeeeeeeee!"
"Bad Girl Bad Girl, Whatcha Gonna Do, Whatcha Gonna Do When Mavi Cums On You!"
I've always thought Vancouver was the easiest place to meet people, particularly if you're outdoorsy. The dragon boat scene up there is very diverse and friendly; they have everything from the casual weekend paddler to the Olympic level athlete.
I used to spend a lot of time in Vancouver... we would drive through town and play Spot the White Person. There were never very many, unless you were in Ikea.

Hi mavimaximus:
Thanks a lot for your information, I actually do not just want a one night stand (more girlfriend type of thing), so I'm not sure if bar is a good place to go or not? But anyway, I'll try sometimes.
Also "why limit yourself to white girls". No, I'm not. But my ex is white in Alberta, also I am more attractive to white girls, I'm not ugly and pretty active, but generally, Asian girls treat me not as warm as white girls. A real example is: when I was doing my university in Calgary, I meet an Asian and an Irish Canadian together in the computer lab, the Irish girl started to hang out with me later, but I could feel that Asian girl looks down to me as I was just a poor graduate student. And after I got my degree and a good job, that Asian girl started to approach me. I know it is up to the person, not because of face or skin, so I can say "I prefer white girl, but also look for other good girls!"
Any idea where I can meet some active professional ladies? Like some particular clubs or association. Just want to get a girl who has the "common" interests with me.

Hi creamofcow:
As for outdoor sports, I believe I'm just too active as I was involved in a soccer league each other in Alberta, I was always a team member for my university department team when the season is coming. I have passion to sports, that's why I switched my career to Vancouver as this city will hold the winter Olympic Games. As for dragon boat clubs, I didn't find a really "multi-cultures" dragon club yet, so maybe I should try further.
But thanks a lot for your suggestion, it's still a good idea!

Hi Lilah_Luvv:
I have the same feeling, Vacnouver is more multiple cultures or even "Asian-dominated", but lots of Asian girls here pefer white guys; Alberta is "white-dominated", but lots of white girls prefer Asian guys; I know this is funny. Maybe I should buy a place closing to Ikea, or just move to Seattle.
I'm still feeling this city is a little bit "complicated" to understand, maybe those small towns or small town girls are my type, hehe!
If you want to have a European girl (dunno if you do), go to their events, show that you have interest towards a certain European culture and you meet European chicks. But your interest has to be honest then...

That's bull shit!... 99% of the asian females you see in Vancouver is with an Asian boyfriend...
I don't think moving close to Ikea in Richmond is going to help you with your "white girl" search... considering Richmond has the highest percentage of asians in Canada... over 40% in Richmond are of Asian background... lol...
Stay away from downtown and Yale Town and Grandville area...
Also, it's tough to break in with the locals, that will take several years... my first few years in Vancouver, i hooked up with mostly transplants, people who have recently moved there...
We use to have orphan holiday celebrations, those who didn't go back for the holidays, like thanksgiving... it was mostly pot luck and for those new to the area were able to celebrate...
Great place to hang out is Kit's beach... and spent lot's of time at a local Jazz Bar Rossini's Restaurant...
Also met most of my gf's there playing beach volleyball @ Kit's Beach, Jericao Beach and Spanish Banks... beach volleyball season runs from March to end of October...
