Hey I'm going to Las Vegas at April, what can you recommend me to do there?
Hey, I gotta be in a convention in Las Vegas in order to present a some political science undergraduate studies and also a paper on Applying feminism to helping rebuild asian masculinity(noneless )
Is there anything fun I could do there, or is there anything you recommend me doing while I spend a few days there?
"I don't flick neeedles like my sick friend,
I don't march like Beetle Bailey through a quick trend,
I don't frequent church's steeples on my weekend,
And I don't comment if you formulate a weak Zen."
I can share bits of it, but its an old paper I wanted to present two years ago. Basically one of the examples I cite is a village in rural China whose women are the focus of economic and political leadership. Men do have say in the process, but its women who dominate the scene.
They found out that in this area, the men didn't mind it at all. There was also a negligable amount of crime, and interviews with people have learned that women were more likely to initiate relationships. There is a lot more gender equality in this egalitarian society. However that is just in one village, untouched yet by modern influences.
That is of course just one of the sections in the paper, the other topics also involve the fetishization of Asian women and men(especially in homosexual relationships, they are generally the submissive figure). There is also use of Racial/feminist writers such as bell hooks in order to explain how masculinity can be escalated but difficult to bring back down from a culture that is highly masculinized.
Overall its just a mish mash of considerations and topics, since we are only allowed a few pages in the journal for ourselves, I can't really write much about it(I had to cut my paper down).
Besides most of the people going aren't just there to promote their academic prowess, its Vegas after all, and we are not the ones paying for the trip(I think the school is).
seriously fill a backpack with your favorite alcohol and take a walk down the strip...there are some fun bars on fremont street that almost always have live music and a really cool crowd...the beauty bar and mickey finz (?spelling?)
so many hotels/casinos always have shows so yeah totally go! there are too many for me to list here...pick up a las vegas weekly when you get here and it will give you a run down on what going on in this very small city...and you can't leave without getting some cheezy souveniers from the worlds largest gift shop across from the sahara hotel...
whew! i think that's it really - the ultra lounges at most of the hotels are pretty swanky and nice if you can get a good seat...
have fun!

Sounds righteous then daisy, I only have about four days to spend around though. So I want to make the most of the time.
I heard that we got a caberet show planned out, but I'm a man of vice. Basically, I'm going to indulge in as much alcohol and gambling that I can for one day, then spend the rest of the time with my group hanging out. There are some nice girls in our group so we might hang out with them as well.
What about gambling? Do you recommend a set amount to use(its my first time of heavy gambling I'm considering doing) and I want to know how much is too much and when I should stop.
We are gonna get stuck with a cheaper hotel, so I figure there would be little in the way of entertainment. It looks like we are going to have to travel a little bit to reach the real fun stuff.
At the conference i'm expected to give a slight presentation, heres hoping to impressing the female profs and getting the mack on!!!
My favorite place is Satay on 3755 Spring Mountain Rd. It reminded me so much of home that it was a true emotional experience. Yeah, it really took me back.
So dude, grab one of those female profs and take her out to dinner there. You can thank me later.
