One place to really go to when you come to Chicago is Gino's Pizza on Michigan and Superior. Best deep dish pizza you will ever taste.
Is that Gino's East? I stopped at a Gino's East that was near Wrigley Field. How about Giordano's? I couldn't decide which was better. They were both great.
Any recommendations for seafood? I ate at the McCormick & Schmick's chain and was impressed.

Yep, that's Gino's East. I love Chicago style pizza....lol. Giordano's and Gino's both kick ass with their pizza. I personally prefer Giordanos because its closer to me, but to each his own. Seafood? Not too sure, I don't eat much seafood, but the chain you are talking about does have some good food there.
Gino's East corn crust quite doesn't do it for me (usually I like corn-based foodstuff).
Giordano's Lou Malnati's, Edwardo's, etc. - all good stuff.
For anyone traveling to Chicago - just don't go to Pizzaria Uno.
Other Chicago fare to try - Chicago-style hotdogs (also try the brats, tho, more of a "Wisconsin food") and ribs.
For those who also want Asian fare - Chicago has some good Thai restaurants near the Miracle Mile area and some good "all-you can eat" Korean BBQ places (further North from the main tourist area).
I went last year and I thought it was fun. Mind you it is very crowded even during more awkward times of the day and week. Some food was really awesome, some of it was overpriced for what you got, and some of it was just okay. I was surprised at how friendly a lot of people were. I mean total strangers. I was with just one other friend, but other people were willing to swap food with us if we didn't like it or let us try a little bit of theirs if we asked if what they were eating was any good or not.

Yeah, we Chicagoans are friendly at heart, the hustle and bustle of the city is what brings some down....still, the taste is the shit. I am definitely going this year.
Wow, I miss the Taste of Chicago. I've only been once, but when I went, I tried pot-stickers for the very first time. It was wonderful. ^__^
Heh, I couldn't see the concert, but I explored a little. I remember the song I listened to on the way out and onto the train. I think it went . . . "No letting go . . . "
I went with my mom and my cousin, Guy. He was just visiting for a while. Heh, I remember the fountain, the beach, the concert hall nearby . . . where Herb Albert once played, and where Michael Jordan once gave a speech. So many memories . . .
well its been a while but just for an update. so this was my first time to actually check out the city (first time was jus an interview and didn't get to see the city) and i think chicago is a
