Two years ago I went to both Vancouver and Toronto and loved both places. I didn't check out the night life, because I'm not into the club scene. But, I want to go visit either place or Ottawa. Does anyone have recommendations for a night spot that has:
Great music and even some dancing, yet has a mature crowd (30+)
Diversity
Thanks!
Montreal, Quebec. THE best city of Canada! A good mix of Old European style architec + hip modern feels. Lot of place to visit, whether summer or winter (LA RONDE!). very diverse dinning options. lot of festivals in the summer.
BTW, i could be biased, cause i grew up in Montreal lol
flags are still, no wind blows:
it is the heart of man that is in tumult

A Finnish friend of mine moved to Montreal from Toronto, and she says that people are way more rude there than in Toronto. She thinks it's maybe because of the French culture there...
When a Finnish friend in uni was pissed of at some French guys who were 2 hours late from a party, I told her to relax... "they are French. They come maybe at some point"

i actually agree on the rude part. lot of native Quebecois are pretty arrogant and ignorant. some of them won't even talk to u if u do not speak french.

Wow, so fucking rude... Pretty racist to be rude because someone doesn't speak your language!
If someone came to talk to me in English in Finland, I wouldn't be rude!

Canada is different. in fact a part of Canada has their own government, that already prove how very "muticultural" Canada is. I think not long ago, maybe just half a decade ago, the people in Nunavut got their land back in a way, and became some sort of government in their own land, within Canada. By the way about Quebec did you know last year the prime minister said that quebec is a nation within united Canada?
I lived here for 16 years, I live in a part of the greater Vancouver regional district, where at one time (before the 95 there were pretty much only Chinese people), Just yesterday me, and my brother went to a resturant and couldn't believe how muticultural our hometown got, there are a lot more white people now.
But for sure, since I stepped foot here the member of the parliament representing our hometown had always been Chinese, if not, I'll be piss off . This town is build by the Chinese people, the caucasian people are migrating to this town because of the job opportunities.
In fact, there isn't just a lot more caucasian people now, there are a lot of people from india, and the philippines. the point I made this reply is to tell you that, some parts of Canada are mainly inhabited with only one kind of people. speaking of white people, I just got a harassment call from Canadian firearms bullying me center, one of these day I'm going talk to the guy representing our town from the parliament.
