Tubing is so gross. You are floating in other people's piss. It's only fun if you go once and don;t think about the pee. I mean haven't you noticed how everyone is guzzling alcohol but never excuses themselves to pee? And ugh at the end you have been floating and drinking for huors and hours and it so frigging impossible to get out of the tube and walk in that condition. The grossest thing ever is that my friend found a can of root beer on the riverbed and she drank it bcause it was cold. She put her lips to it and it probably had the pee of thousands of people coating the surface
It's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be. Any body of water will have its share of garbage, run off, effluence, bacteria, etc. but a river is certainly better than stagnant water. When I had to take a wizz, I just got off the tube onto the river bank and peed on some rocks. I haven't heard of anyone getting dysentery or e-coli from tubing. Did your friend get sick from drinking that beer she found?
Ever hear of the term "The solution to pollution is dilution"? Even if some people do indeed pee in the river, it's so diluted that it wouldn't make a difference. Where do you think Phoenix gets it's drinking water from?
Anyways, for a city slicker like me, tubing was a lot of fun.
I dunno, I was tipsy when I posted that, but I still think tubing is pretty gross. Fun but gross. A lot of people bring extra towels to cover their car seats with afterwards, which is an acknowledgement, I think, of how dirty the river is. Public health officials even advise people to not tube the Salt River if they have open sores or cuts. That cannot be good for your health. They also advise that if you do go tubing, to go early in the season, when the river is less of a toilet. OK so that is not what they really say, but every tubing season there are warnings about water-borne diseases and tubing the Salt.
Phoenix tap water-I try not to drink it. Actually tap water in any part of the state gives me a sore throat.
Whatever, you pansy ass. Go play in the tub for all I care. Next time I'm in town I won't ask you to go tubing with me. I'll tube like there's no tomorrow and piss all over the place. I don't even care.
I hate you Palomaaa!!!
(I'm just joking Paloma. You have some valid points I must concede)

Haha I will be safe inside my hermetically sealed bubble so your piss cannot get me! This will be you and this will be me
I am in Phoenix and always looking for new people to meet. Unlike some of the other people who posted, I LOVE it here! There is so much to do and rain will never, ever spoil your outdoor plans Though it is tough to have a bbq on the 4th of July in 120 degree heat! I am always looking for new people to go hiking or biking with or just hang out and go to the bar.
