Agree 100%.
Even back in his heyday, I always thought that Jackie was way better onscreen when he was being directed by Sammo Hung (
Wheels On Meals,
Dragons Forever, Rwinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Stars[/i],
My Lucky Stars etc).
I may be in the distinct minority on this but I even prefer seeing him in serious roles like
Heart of the Dragon (which was also directed by Hung),
Crime Story and the John Woo-esque
Island of Fire to the campy, goofy assclown persona that seems to permeate his movies when he has full writing/directing credit.
