The situation in Québec is very different because of our history. Québec is not anti Islam. Québec is anti religion - ANY religion.

Past abuse from our own Catholic Church has led us to want and make our society a non religious one. It was a choice we made, as a society, in the 60's in the midst of our "Quiet Revolution".

Our religious intolerance is not focused on a particular group. We want our country to be rid of ALL religions.

Europe has serious problem with radical islam which is supported by Saudi Arabia. The problem is grave in UK that many British consider the London mayor, Livingston, pacifism policy with radical islamist as fatal. It is similar to pacifism to Nazi during WWII. Britain paid a terrible price for its delay action against Germany. History is repeating itself again here.

European pride themselves on their secular policy of separating the church from society and the politics. They had fought hard over the centuries against church domination in every part of their lives hence they strongly resent any imposition of religion on their society. British strongly resent Muslims whom imposed their religious beliefs upon their life. For example, taxi drivers refuse to transport passengers who carry alcohol in their luggage. Muslims won't reveal their faces at voting booth. Muslims even take over entire street to use it for prayer ground. There are more mosques in UK than churches now. Muslims demand non-meat meals be served at school cafeteria. shouldn't Muslims students bring their own non-meat lunches to school instead of imposing their religious belief on the secular institution?

The church doesn't' even dare to impose its belief in the school meal planning. There is a limit of tolerance for religion. The British had exceed that tolerance limit long time ago. Denmark impose much harsher policy against Muslims compare to the UK.

I hate to see Canada becoming like the UK in near future.

The separation of Church and State is a delicate issue that needs to be resolved once and for all. For the advancement of humanity and for and for the victory of reason over passion and superstition.

I am among those who think that there should not be any religion at all!!
