Well I'll be bold and say that I agree wholeheartedly with what you've said whatever your political persuasion is.
Well how very intrepid of you !! hehe You have obviously not made the same mistake as some of us before, in agreeing with someone only to have their augment turn into praise for the Nazi regime - so any reticence I had was merely apprehension of being to agreeable without more/ sufficient data to do so !
i.e. I like to fully understand and comprehend things before I unyieldingly agree with them - sometimes it is not just what you believe but also why !

If the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, its that girls should stick to girl's sports, such as hot oil wrestling foxy boxy and such and such...

No I tend to say things without thinking and deal with the consequences later. So it's not so much me being fearless, more like stoopid
Labeling somebody as "anti-immigrant" "fascist" etc has been used by some leftists to silence people who are quite rightfully concerned about the way this country is accepting people. I strongly think that Britain needs more skilled migrants, such as scientists, engineers, accountants, teachers, electricians, and so forth, who tend to move to elsewhere, such as the US, where they can earn more.
They'll bring wealth to the country and stability to the society.
However, you cannot improve your country by randomly incorporating people who have no special skills or even any intention to get such skills at all.
Wow could you place any more value judgments on your fellow human beings ?
Apart from the fact that its basically not entirely true - we actually do need the fairly constant supply of less skilled employees who are prepared to do the more menial jobs that native born Brits seem to think they are above - and definitely wouldn't do for the wages that are being offered !
More and more people these days have degrees are attending university - the numbers of those gaining more qualifications is increasing all the time . Yet now they face the prospect of years in education with no job at the end of it ! Yes we need more qualified people in certain industries - but it is becoming a real problem that people are having to do jobs they are over qualified for ! more people having more pieces of paper saying they can do stuff - isn't necessarily a good thing !
These days there is too much store place in Academic qualifications and not enough in good old fashioned trades !
And it reeks somewhat of double standards when people expect those entering a country to pass certain standards that soo very many within such a country fall so very short of .
On a personal note - all of the economic migrants I have met - of which there have been a through - had a more noticeable positive work ethic than is average among many of the 'natives' . If anything I have seen this cause hostility - they don't like to be shown up by people who they view according to their value judgements as somehow less or beneath them - merely because of the island they just happened to be born on !

My German friend is an electrician. He has no degree at all, but has a very impressive experience in his field of work. His income in the UK is much higher than what most of the post-docs in my department receive. The reason, I guess, is that the UK government has ditched various vocational programmes once available affordably. Now, having all the polytechnics converted to makeshift universities that teach media studies and alike, almost every industrial sector lacks skilled workers and many university graduates lack job opportunities. Besides, the Labour government now employs so many bureaucrats everywhere that the industries are penalised financially by bureaucratic red tapes and various forms of stealth taxes. The result is that the industries cannot hire untrained people. They cannot spend money to train fresh graduates w/o any practical skills. That is the point that I made in the message above. I mean, this country really needs people trained in any useful field.
europe's problem is that it accepted the wrong type of immigrants. unskilled refugees from africa and uneducated migrant workers from turkey and north africa and pakistan.
that's a big cultural difference from for example skilled educated economic immigrants from korea, china, japan, the philippines, etc. along with unskilled but catholic mexican immigrants like in the u.s.
it's not so p.c. to point this out, but some cultures just integrate better and cause less trouble. others dont integrate well at all and cause greater problems at a higher social cost.
