I feel that some of the comments made were terrible.
But, on the other hand, while everyone professed to be outraged, the sad truth is, is that these kind of pre-judgements are not uncommon in the UK.
In addition, the producers don't help - there are thousands of normal Asians. Last year featured Shabaz and a girl from HK (can't remember her name).
We need to stop reinforcing the stereotype, instead of encouraging it.
The actress is a bit naive though... why would a boolywood star lower herself and come in a flat with average idiots. It doesn't make sense. I think she was tricked. Since the incident BB has boosted its audience figures.

I agree with you that these comments are expected from the public in UK. The girl had the right to comment on TV although it might offend someone. This show is intended to shock its audience. Any participant is expected to be attacked verbally on the show.
I remember i posted something about the asians in aussie big brother and said something about racism in that one...now im certain people in BB can harbour such racist ignorance..and hey...these people making the comments werent any toms, dicks or harrys... this is meant to be celebrity big bro...these people are in the public eye, their opnions have weight in the media. One of the people making the comments was ms england or something...youd think getting that title means shes more cultured or something...guess not. I guess you can never tell who or which country is more racist.

I found out today that she is getting over £300,000 just to appear in the show, so that would probably be the reason why.

I personally think Danielle is the most racist one, I don't think its intentional though, she's so culturally ignorant, that classic line were she mentioned "do indian people eat with they're hands or is that what they do in china? thats nasty" shows that she's not that smart anyway, I mean I've seen Danielle eat with her hands all the time.

cant say i like that girl Jade Goody, she looks terrible on tv and projects a low level of social standards....mouthy fat slag that she is.
ppl like her are giving the british a bad reputation globally...i dont want the taiwanese associating Jade Goody's manner with me just cos i come from the same country as her.
