Today was one of those rare days where I'm struck by just how awesome Sacramento really is, and why I will forever be glad that I grew up here. Some will say Sac is boring, but I think that's another way of saying you're a boring person. You can have fun anywhere you go if you're with the right people and in the right state of mind. I worked again today and I half expected to see the Japanese kids/mother again today. They did come in, but I think the kids went up to the children's class right as the other kids left so she left then. I didn't get to talk to her before hand. Sometime last week I discovered that two kids that come into Gold's Gym Kids Club speak fluent Japanese. The entire time I was at work, I eavesdropped in on their conversation. Shoki Ramen House is my new favorite place to eat. It doesn't have the best reviews on yelp, but for me, that place is just fine. I've been craving ramen since the day I left Japan, and it's nice to finally have some where to go to scratch the itch.

Thursday, June 12th:
What should have been simply picking up the 15 passenger rental van turned into an impromptu shopping excursion with my mother. This happens on occasion. I ended up buying several pairs of sandals at Old Navy. We also went to Wal Mart for stuff to decorate the van, and to the grocery store for food for the long drive to So Cal.

I have four close friends. One, whom I've known since middle school, I call my best friend. The other three I met during high school, and they're the only people from that period of my life that I still talk to. Two out of the four are Asian. I mention this because I'm not quite sure people believe me when I say I've been around Asians pretty much all my life. I'm looking for mature conversation that focuses on the underlying reasons why AM/BF may or may not want to date BF/AM. I'm worried about creating a thread on this topic because it has been done to some varying degree throughout AL.
