Hello again, Diary.

A daily record, usually private, esp. of the writer's own experiences, observations, feelings, attitudes, etc. - dictionary.com

I laugh at that word "daily". There is nothing daily about my diary. I have a very good habit of forgetting I have a diary until I've got some traumatic/dramatic/emotional something to write about. If you're thinking I wrote in my diary recently, you're correct. If that leads you to assume that something happened that falls in one of those three...

Why I Love Sacramento

Posted 07-20-2008 at 04:21 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
Today was one of those rare days where I'm struck by just how awesome Sacramento really is, and why I will forever be glad that I grew up here. Some will say Sac is boring, but I think that's another way of saying you're a boring person. You can have fun anywhere you go if you're with the right people and in the right state of mind. And I'm not sure of, nor do I care about, the other millions of complaints people have.

I love this place.

I went to work today at Gold's...

Biting My Tongue

Posted 07-18-2008 at 04:53 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
I'm having one of those moments where I have the desire to just say the most vile things to and about people. Yet, being the uber nice person that I am, I bite my tongue. I don't have the right to say inappropriate, mean things to people due to my inability to handle a situation.

But damn if I don't want to call people out on their bullshit sometimes. I can only be pushed and prodded and lied to so much before I SNAP.

I really can't even pinpoint who or what I'm mad...

That's a Lot of Blood

My friend Tran hit me up on Friday about going with her to her friend's birthday bash in SF. I haven't seen her, or the group of people who were steadily becoming my friends as well, in a while so I decided to go ahead and make the trip. I also had just gotten paid so that was a definite plus for going.

Saturday morning I drove to SJ, where Tran has recently located. We hung out for the day before getting ready to go out. The birthday bash was at Club Roe in the heart of SF. And...

Japanese Magazine

Posted 06-27-2008 at 02:31 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
I don't know how many of you read my previous blog, but today's blog is kind of an update on that.

I worked again today and I half expected to see the Japanese kids/mother again today. They did come in, but I think the kids went up to the children's class right as the other kids left so she left then. I didn't get to talk to her before hand. When class was over, she came back in and started talking to me.

In my nervousness I forgot to ask the mother her name. I kind...

Yatta!

Posted 06-26-2008 at 04:31 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
Sometime last week I discovered that two kids that come into Gold's Gym Kids Club speak fluent Japanese. The entire time I was at work, I eavesdropped in on their conversation. Not once did I attempt to speak to them in Japanese. It crossed my mind, but little Japanese kids (the oldest is 5) intimidate the hell out of me. Their Japanese is just so much better than mine. Rightfully, so I know, but it kind of sucks that I can barely communicate with a 5 year old! Then again, sometimes its hard to...

Reckless Fool

Posted 06-25-2008 at 07:57 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
Utterly unconcerned about the consequences of some action.

A silly or stupid person; a person who lacks judgment or sense.

Quite possibly the worst combination out there, and yet, every part of my being has been striving to be a reckless fool for a few days now. I don't really need a reason as there are a few factors contributing to this behavior.

Boredom. Loneliness. Sadness. Disappointment. Males. More specifically Asian males. These feelings are a...

Shoki Ramen House

Posted 06-20-2008 at 09:55 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
Shoki Ramen House is my new favorite place to eat. It doesn't have the best reviews on yelp, but for me, that place is just fine. I've been craving ramen since the day I left Japan, and it's nice to finally have some where to go to scratch the itch.

And that's not the only itch Shoki Ramen House scratches.

I've only been there four times. I went two days in a row a few weeks ago, and I've been twice this week. On my second trip, I was convinced I would have to start...

An Interesting Day

Posted 06-18-2008 at 09:31 PM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
Updated 06-18-2008 at 09:38 PM by 03elleinad (Forgot to mention the SF Gate article...)
I began my day reevaluating my life, yet again. It seems that since leaving college, I've done this many times. In trying to figure out how to get a job, where to get a job, changing my resume, when I should or should not move to Los Angeles, considering graduate schools in the U.S. and abroad, I have changed plans so very many times.

I've kept on and off contact with my sixth grade teacher over the years. I told him that I planed to stay in Sacramento for two years and pay off as...

My Grad Weekend

Posted 06-18-2008 at 01:15 AM by 03elleinad (Vitamin D)
Thursday, June 12th:
What should have been simply picking up the 15 passenger rental van turned into an impromptu shopping excursion with my mother. This happens on occasion. I ended up buying several pairs of sandals at Old Navy. We also went to Wal Mart for stuff to decorate the van, and to the grocery store for food for the long drive to So Cal.

All this amounted to was leaving me with not much time to pack and get adequate sleep. And since I enjoy being cute for the sake...
