I know this video may be a downer to some, but it actually is a truly amazing story. I bawled when I saw this video. It's the story of Eliot Harman Mooney who was born with a rare defect called trisomy 18. Most babies with this condition die in the womb or the day they are born. This little guy survived for 99 days. Each day, his father wrote a letter to him. Each day, they celebrating his birthday. He actually survived for 99 days, which is truly a miracle. On the day he was buried, they released...

Talk about cougers

Well, I thought I had seen it all. This Korean film was hilarious. It's about a 50 something Korean woman who has a husband and 23 year old daughter, who falls in love with one of her boarders in the home and ex bf of the daughter. She's 26 years his senior. It shows how drab her life is in the beginning and how she finally just stands up for herself. The younger guy actually falls in love with her too. The husband was a cheater and gets jealous of the wife's affair. It was a great way to bring...

Forbidden Gardens-TX

Posted 12-31-2008 at 08:46 PM by luvasiagal (Luvasiagal's Blog)
My mother, daughter and I recently visited the Forbidden Gardens in Texas. It was truly amazing. Although I have been to the real Forbidden City, Summer Palace and saw the Terracota soldiers in China, it was really cool to see the whole thing laid out in minature. When you visit the Forbidden City, you are only allowed into certain parts and cannot see the whole thing. You really didn't get the whole picture of how grand a place it was. The Forbidden City is at least a quarter mile with all the...

Fuck it, Its everything but me...

Verse One: SLug

It's the caffeine, the nicotine, the miligrams of tar
It's my habitat, it needs to be cleaned, it's my car
It's the fast talk they use to abuse and feed my brain
It's the cat box it needs to be changed, it's the pain
It's women, it's the plight for power it's government
It's the way you're giving knowledge
slow with thought control and subtle hints
It's rubbing...

The Biggest Distractors in Life

Posted 12-31-2008 at 06:58 AM by anachronism
Distractions. Everybody has distractions in their lives that keep them from achieving their goals, whether it be physique goals or any other goal in life. Some "distractions" really aren't distractions but obligations, such as family ("Damn it, woman! If wasn't for you and the kids, I'd be Mr. Olympia by now!") and career ("Hey, you want to join the office lotto pool? If we win, we're sooo outta here.")

But some things are just a big fat waste of time....

New Years Goals and Adjustments I will make

Posted 12-30-2008 at 08:53 PM by Yellowfever
I have so many things on the mind it is really stressful. I, as a future graduate, have way too much on my plate. It is over whelming. But I can do it. (I am going to be sick) However I once again have to set PRIORITIES! I seriously need more than anything to get my head out of my rear and shoot for the stars. This means using a dreaded calendar and highlighter pens. Also printing out class syllabus with more calendars and post them all over my walls. I have to order my books ON TIME! I...

Misled Pleasure or Escape?

Posted 12-30-2008 at 06:48 PM by burnt toast
I finally have a day off, only to be ruined by further car trouble. Purge volume control valve and purge solenoid valve, there are items I don't even know how to explain their purposes to my mom in English. Regardless, my day started off on a negative note. But I am not blogging this to vent, unless mom starts to ask me about it again then...
Anyway, for those who know me in a more personal level, I can be neurotic. Today my mind is going again because of...

my plan for new year's eve

Posted 12-30-2008 at 02:13 PM by JCG
I already bought a ticket online to a salsa dance club for tomorrow

tomorrow evening will be an experiment night, I will go there and find one or two very unattractive ladies and dance with them

last saturday, one lady was not very attractive (white, 5'8 barefoot, 1 inch shorter than me on the 2 inch heel dance shoes) and no one danced with her, she stood at the edge of the floor sadly watching for hours. I asked her for the dance and she liked it. she was a novice,...

Sweet validation! Best Buy fraud, you say?

Posted 12-29-2008 at 08:58 PM by CityLights
Here's the story.

My mother got me an mp3 player for Christmas, and guess what? She paid $100 for an empty box. A display box, no less, that even had the word DISPLAY written on the bottom.

When we took it back, they basically shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn’t do anything. No refund, no replacement, not even an explanation as to why this happened. They even told us it was “impossible” that we were sold a display box, despite the fact it was WRITTEN
