So I'm leaving Monday morning for a much needed 7 day vacation!!!! My job is super stressful (I'm a nanny) and though I can't wait to get on that plane to D.C., I can't quit worrying about my babies that I'm leaving behind!! I keep having nightmares that the parents will forget to give the smaller one his allergy medicine or forget what time to pick the kids up from school. I am SUCH a freak sometimes!!! Its true I live no where near the bright lights and big city, museums, concerts, art in the park etc....and i love all those things...and sometimes i miss them, but i have the option of traveling to the city, enjoying them, and coming home...

So ever since I got back to the material world from the hills I have been feeling sort of pissed off. I came to the conclusion that while my life is actually pretty great, I can't think of anything I can do to make myself happier. Which is a pretty damn strange issue... I realized that there is nothing material I can purchase which would make my life better... I have pretty much bought everything I can actually use, and I'm not the type to buy stuff just so they can sit some where and gather dust....

I cant stand that after all these years my father is still a damn playa.....a ladies man, if you will.

While i'm glad that he settled down and got married in his early 20s...(or else I wouldnt have been born)..even then, he still had women around him. I'm glad my parents got divorced. I look back on how he was growing up and I watch how he is now.... and I wouldnt want that on my mother. yea, she dealt with it for 3yrs...but I'd be damned if I had to see her go thru that for 24yrs....

So everyone that was in chat the other day knows my Granddad went to the hospital (cause he was having symptoms of a stroke) and was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Here's the update:
The doctor said that they caught it to late. His eyesite is going to go completely (which has been going for a while so I don't get how they did not catch the cancer earlier) and he is going to lose his memory.

I'm wondering how things will pan out for the remaining time of this year. All of last week was quite an adventure, well...maybe just Tuesday and Wednesday. I headed out to the North side to visit 2 beauty schools: Pivot Point (in Evanston) and Steve Papageorge Beauty School (on North Clark Street) by buses and the "EL", Red and the Purple line. Both visits went well as a matter of fact. I passed the entrance exam to Pivot Point, while I had a one on one with the owner of the school...

When i work, i get to hear some fantastic tunes. We have many different functions held in the hotel. Last night we had an amazing band in one bar out of the two that i worked (have over 6 bars), and i was dancing like a total nutta. And yeah it was a late night, with me not getting finished until 3am, but its all worth it if there is good music
