Well... I need a better job.

at the moment I'm a nanny. I love kids. but, I dont want to be a nanny for the rest of my life. I want to go to school and I want a career. In the meantime tho...I want a job that pays well enough that I can be on my own again.

anyone have any ideas???

I need a job where maybe I can take a few classes at a time. I apply to jobs but nothing thats like... major.. nothing that pays decent money. maybe I just dont know where...

My daughter's first day of Pre-K today. It went well and she had a fun time, but was really glad to see me when I picked her up. I was worried she wouldn't handle it well since we are in a new city, but she handled it like a champ.

She did say she was nervous, but she also said that at least twice a week, every week last year at preschool. I think she fears making mistakes and being embarrassed. Even though she's not of my biology (she was adopted), I went through the same anxieties...

I love when I see older Asian men (it's usually the men more than the older ladies), who walk leaning forward, head sort of bowed, with their hands clasped behind their backs. It's definitely an Asian walk. Is this some kind of traditional walk? Just curious, b/c I see it all the time in the park. It's so endearing to me.

Sometimes you make a sale, sometimes you don't. You may find what you're looking for or you could be dissapointed. Some items you find are way overpriced and some are a bargain. We try on many jeans to try and find the perfect fit. LOL i'm being ridiculous...just plain bored

Some of the winds from Gustav have hit our area. Sent a small branch through a window and broke the glass.

Yeah, I COULD fix it myself, but what a pain in the ass. I'd rather pay a professional who already has all the materials handy and who will most likely do it in 1/4 the time it would take me.

So instead of being at work today, I'm sitting here waiting for the glass guy. Kind of like waiting for the cable guy. As soon as I run an errand, they'll show up. Never...
