Don't miss me too much

I'm sitting in an airport waiting once again for a flight. For someone who truly enjoys being home, it's an odd lifestyle I've adapted. I wonder sometimes if it's the world's way of restoring balance to my life. I feel lucky to have seen so many parts of the world and to have captured so many places and moments of not only my life, but the lives of others.

My dad wears Brut cologne. He puts it on right before he leaves the house. The last thing he does before leaving for work is say goodbye to my dog and give her a belly rub. When I lived at home she used to come back upstairs after he left and jump back in bed with me, smelling just like my dad.

Today I was on the train and and was across from an attractive guy who was wearing Brut. I smiled at the memory of my dad and the guy must have thought I was smiling at him and said hello to...

I'm traveling for work again...it's a place I've been before and it's NOT Chicago....If you know what industry I'm in, it should be easy. As there is a HUGE event happening soon.

In honor of her leaving I compiled the following list of random moments and quotes that have happened in the 4 years I have known Carla. I put these in a card I hid in her suitcase so she'd find it when she gets to Chicago, but wanted a copy for myself....some are random and won't make sense to anyone else....but if you have a best friend...you'll get the essence of it all.....
