Sweet validation! Best Buy fraud, you say?

Here's the story.

My mother got me an mp3 player for Christmas, and guess what? She paid $100 for an empty box. A display box, no less, that even had the word DISPLAY written on the bottom.

When we took it back, they basically shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn’t do anything. No refund, no replacement, not even an explanation as to why this happened. They even told us it was “impossible” that we were sold a display box, despite the fact it was WRITTEN

Parent drama

I'm 20 years old, and I started my first semester of college in September. I, like many, am paying with loans. No money was put away for me as a child because 1. I am one of five children and 2. I was raised by a stay at home mom and a mechanic who divorced when I was 8. Needless to say, we were a paycheck to paycheck kind of family.

To top it off, my father was/is/i don't know anymore/ a drug addict. For a time during my teen years he was homeless while going from job to job, and...

I feel like I need a cigarette, though I haven’t smoked in nearly two years. I won’t count the two puffs I took off my best friends stick, the night I did up my eyes for a nervous encounter with a boy I’d given 4 years of friendship to, only to have it thrown into my face. I wish he had been upfront; a simple “You.Are.Not.Good.Enough” from his cowardly lips would have done the trick, saving me from two weeks worth of guessing games and heartache.
