Americans head for China to lose weight

It is so sad that in order for people to lose weight, they had to leave everything behind and move to China to lose the weight. The reason for this is to get away from all the unhealthy stuff around them. I can see this because when I quit smoking many years ago, I could not go into a place with smoke or even hang with anyone that smoked. It makes sense. Usually on a typical vacation I can gain five pounds easily just eating. But, when I went on a 10 day tour of China, I actually stayed the same. I ate all the time. But, I was also touring, which included a lot of walking.

I'm not surprised. Just when I left my healthcare insurance and office job yrs ago, a well known insurance company started outsourcing healthcare and insurance agents to India. It sad that you have to leave the US just to get an affordable heart surgery with meds and 2 weeks in the hospital included (3,000 in India). You have to be a millionaire to get heart surgery without insurance approval in the US.
I'm really truly not surprised that ppl have to go to China to regain a healthy life.

I worked in insurance for a while too. Our customer service was slowly being brought back to the states because no one could understand the foreigners on the phone. Customers would get really pissed. I was included because I had to use the customer service too. They had their little scripted answers. Anytime anything was not a usual question, they didn't know how to answer.
I once read an article that said your friends can make you fat. It's true. If you hang around a bunch of people that love to eat, you'll surely go along. I always kept control of myself, but I know for many, it's hard to say no to your friends when it comes to eating.Posted 12-02-2008 at 01:44 PM by luvasiagal
