Everyday I want to jump out the window

I work on the 7th floor and it is one of those office buildings that have glass as walls. As I do my daily routine of walking out from the elevator and head to my drab cube I just get this urge to start running. You know the various scenes in the Matrix series where Carrie Ann Moss(Trinity character) jumps through glass and you get to see in slow motion the window shatter? I want that.
Seriously if it wasn't for the aftermath in pain or death, it would seem like a lot of fun. Don't worry I'm not suicidal. I have too much narcissism to even consider such an act.
Although I do find it so odd to feel the urge but it probably has something to do with how restricted I feel at work. Its just the repetitive routine of life where everyday is the same as the next and one before. I can only see the sun and feel the wind 30 minutes of the day before I rot in a chair staring at a screen. Don't know why I'm so down on the job because it's such a chill work environment. I just hate the routine of it. Just got to repeat it as a means to an end of buying the next thing or traveling to the next place. Guess i'll have to keep the head on the grindstone
. Seriously same shit different day. What's next?
I need to go skydiving. Never done it and I am very interested.
*end rant*
In happier news, I found two whole Washingtons in the street. That's right, you heard me correctly, two whole dollars. Whhhat what????! Damn, time to splurge on a gold trim yacht or rather some happy hour appetizers. Yaaaaa that's right, ballin outta my ass!
Where are my old platinum retainers at?

Everyday I want to jump out the window
That's why I've planned and finally put into place a move to the south. I was working in Chicago on the 39th floor of the Sears Tower. I wouldn't dare jump out that window. Even through there were windows, I felt trapped. It took careful planning for years to finally make the move to the south, but well worth it. Now, because of the hurricane, I work out of a storage/warehouse building until we move into a new building next month. I'm much happier though. I'm glad to get away from the old job and start over.
Sometimes we get in a rutt, and you need to make a change. Maybe think about a change in your career. You are going through an early midlife crisis. You think "what the hell have I been doing, and why am I wasting my time." You want to do something different, but don't know where to start. I think many of us go through this. I watch the show about big ideas and how people have made a success out of an idea. I'm still working on finding an idea that someone else hasn't already done.Posted 10-30-2008 at 07:04 PM by luvasiagal

Yeah ... human body + gravity + pavement = bad idea.
Good news is, with those two Washingtons, you could actually buy a tank of gas where I live now!Posted 10-31-2008 at 05:00 AM by tigerlilly5

Routine is adult life unfortunately. This is it, so get used to it!!! When you get older, it even gets worse. Actually, now routine is comforting to me. Now I do shake it up once in a while, but I'm not craving change constantly anymore. I guess age does that.
I want to go skydiving too, but no one I know will go with me. Buncha pussies.Posted 10-31-2008 at 06:31 AM by LuvMyIS350

screw routine
It doesn't mean you get stuck for life. I did all that college/work/masters degree/work/promotion/work/bigger promotions thing and then thought, I'VE PAID MY DUES! So I resigned as a full time member of staff, stayed in Mongolia, I play all summer, I take short term consultancies in winter to make up the slack, and I work when i feel like it, turn down boring assignments, and handpick the fun stuff. Overall, I probably make half of what I used to, but I'm like 5 times happier. Freedom has its price. But we have choices :-)Posted 10-31-2008 at 09:15 AM by GoldenGirl
