In need of some serious advice.

I have an issue on which I'd really like some outside opinions from other people. It's a relationship/dating/AM-XF situation, and I'm not really sure how to handle it on my own.
If anyone could spare a few minutes to speak with me on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you're willing to give some advice to a lost little girl...
EDIT: Advice from people with more relationship/dating experience would be especially useful in this situation, and from those who have done the long distance thing. Thanks.

I'm out of PMs but if you wanna do long distance, you have to completely trust each other. Both of you have to want it equally. If you know that you might see your love someday in the future then it can be worth pursuing.
Coming from personal experience, not knowing when the person will ever come back or if I'd ever see them again is the hardest thing to cope with. So make sure you guys have a clear date on when you'll see each other.
I hoped this helped in some way.Posted 10-30-2008 at 01:05 AM by Intolight

I tried long distance a couple times thinking it would be worth the hassle but I don't think I can try to do it ever again.
You have to really think about what your needs are in a relationship. Can you deal with only infrequent meetings that may be phenomenal but far and few in between? Do you think you can deal with the low of returning back to a state where primary communication returns to an uninteresting phone call or IMs after being able to be physically with the partner? How are you on trust?
It seems like all my friends have had problems with distance relationships, even ones that are just a two hour drive away! In general I would tell you do not do it, but of course you may be one of the few lucky ones who can make it work. If he is that special then go with it, it will make a good story when you are old.Posted 11-05-2008 at 12:48 AM by csi
