Is honesty really that hard?

so i just got lied to my face by a girl i was "talking to". i might be a nice guy, but i am not naive, i can tell when the lie is so obvious, and it really hurts me, i like her and i hoped that we could have a good relationship together, but after being lied to, i am pretty sure everything is over between us and i just txt her about i know she is lying i hate the fact she has been playing games with me.

it is not the first time i am being lied to nor will be the last time, but i really wonder... why is it so hard to tell the truth? i would have think lot highly of her if she just straight up telling me what she has been doing behind my back instead of making up terrible lies for it. sorry if this doesn't make any sense, but i am hurt and drunk and looking for a place to vent... peace.
