Missing the last train and bus on a rainy Saturday night...

So, I decided to have a very late supper (that is, 11pm at night or so) this past Saturday, so I went to a place into the Prudential.
An indirect result of having this late supper...I had to rush to the metro/subway for the last train (at 12:30am) and I missed it by about 3 minutes, so given with that rain, I decided to stroll across a couple of blocks for the bus which would have arrived 15 minutes later on a normal night.
However, I waited past 1:00am and only heard from another bus driver that the bus I needed broke down and won't be coming at all! What was worse was that it started pouring rain again, so I had no choice but to grab a taxi and it took me about 5 minutes to do this.
Ah, how I live for later metro/subway service on weekend nights like most of the other cities do.
