Alright a few weeks ago I peeked at my grades, with one hand covering my eyes, gingerly logging on to the computer, clenching my asshole in fear...I knew I had done really poorly in one class. IN MY DEFENSE, ahem, this course became a little unmanageable because I moved out and had no consistent access to a computer, and 1/3 of our grade depended on these online homeworks, doing acoustic experiments with .wav sound files. So I checked, and I had a 64%, so I called my academic advisor at Tribal Education, who allayed my fears of being forced to drop out. She said I would go on academic probation and have to go before the Tribal Council and explain why I think I failed the course, and it was up to the elders whether or not to renew my scholarship. So it wasn't like I was off the hook, but I had a fair shot at continuing. I had it sorta planned out what to say, my sob story that if you are reading this, you already know.
I just got my transcripts in the mail and I got a C in that class! I want to kiss my professor, my right-wing, misogynist, conspiracy freak professor! My guess is that he gave me a huge benefit of the doubt, because I got A's on all his exams, sat front row center, never missed class, and am doing research for the department head. I can now unclench my asscheeks!
