It's been reported that a contingent of Republicans will be holed up somewhere in VA this weekend to brainstorm over the future of the party. Using Palin as the punching clown is one way of getting rid of their frustrations, but it really does little in the long run. They're in dire need of new ideas and new slogans to really behind in unity. So, here are a couple of suggestions:

Another film by Nick and Dan, two Brits, about life in north Corea. Their first film was the touching film about the north Corean World Cup football team from the 60s, how they became the darlings of the tournament and where they were now. It's a gaze into north Corea that no one else has offered and it's often funny talking to them because when their first film was released, their knowlege of Corea and Corean culture was through the vista of the north because they had never been to the south....

Game at Fenway. The exit's heavily backed up on Storrow. I'm running late as usual, but there's still time to circle the block once and hope I get lucky. Something's also happening at Berklee though I'm not exactly sure what. Between the droves of Sox fans walking over to the game and the event at the jazz school, foot traffic slows the rush hour congestion even more and there's no hope of finding street parking. Better to garage it.
