What is a "Life Coach"?

So I'm looking through housing ads on craigslist and I see that one woman is a "life coach." Judging from the pictures of the home and how much the rent was, I guess coaching people at life pays pretty well. Sheesh, I wish I could just get paid for telling people what to do

Or maybe not! If she's renting, she's gotta be makin up some slack otherwise I'd never advertise for strangers to live in home on craigslist LOLPosted 11-19-2008 at 02:13 AM by GoldenGirl

I actually sublet an apartment when we first moved to Texas off an ad in Craigslist. The apartment was everything the girl said it would be. I gave my hubby a hard time about using Craigslist, but once I met the girl, she turned out to be really nice. I'm very distrusting of people until I get to know them. Just always make sure you see the place first before you rent. You can tell if someone really lives in a place. I've heard of people renting a place that doesn't even belong to them.
A life coach will help you resolve issues that are affecting your relationships with friends, family and even work. Did you see the Scott Baio series? He had issues of commitment which destroyed many relationships. The life coach made him go back to all the girls he hurt and ask them why things didn't work out. He learned a lot about himself and seems he changed himself. He ended up marrying and has a kid now.Posted 11-19-2008 at 08:41 AM by luvasiagal

Life coaches according to my Mom are social workers for the rich who have way more money than sense:)Posted 11-19-2008 at 10:27 AM by lovestruck7

You can get a life coaching certificate (3 classes) at one of the colleges I know and not even have any counseling experience or an internship.
These days, any one can be a "life coach".
