I'm ashamed to say that I don't use my Blackberry except to check emails. My work bought it for me and I only use it to be tracked down when I'm not in the office. My bf likes to surf the web on it and I just use the phone and email part of it. I don't really care if they took it back--it's not a big deal to have it or not. It is nice to see what's going on when I'm not in the office though and clear out my box when I'm away so I'm not deluged with useless shit when I get back to work.
I bought an app and it sucked... so I actually haven't installed anything else. The Blackberry also has crap memory too - so I'm reluctant to install anything else. I use it to get my email, directions, web and message you!
But the Facebook app isn't too bad... I like the upload picture/tag thing.
Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls. The most massive characters are seared with scars. ~ Khalil Gibran

Aw much love to you Sushi! The messenger for Blackberry app is actually pretty cool. Can't you save programs that are downloaded to a SD card and run them from there?
I use my BB for music and messaging. I also use the Audible.com client and keep tabs on twitter using Twitterberry. Verizon Navigator keeps me from getting lost too.
I originally thought I wouldn't use it for much other than messaging, but it's been a nifty tool for the road.
I got a crackberry, the pearl. I got the glow scroll hack (changes color everytime), password vault (which I forgot the password too, which means all my data will be lost with another 4 tries), mp3 and video player.
I got the 2gb microSD memory card and it rolls like a charm. I did have the Curve, loved it but had to give it back. I want the Bold but will wait for next gen to come out, the on that include touchscreen and fullsize keyboard.
I used to work for Research In Motion aka BlackBerry
they fired me on some bullshit reason which I am taking to the labor board
internally, the company has a shit load of communication issues which makes you wonder how the hell they make communication devices
the devices on a whole are pretty decent things
part of the reason why the memory is so meager on the devices is because everything has a proprietary compression format which takes a very small amount of room. that also facilitates sending messages faster
the bold and the kickstart are the only two devices you should be bothered with
bold is pretty fast. it's already released up here in Canada
Oh and a little secret RIM doesn't like you to know... when you install the Desktop Manager, look for a vendor.xml file on your computer and delete or rename it. After you do that, you can app load an OS from another carrier onto your device. like... say 4.5 device code onto your device that only had 4.2.2
the 4.5 supports html emails, video recording, streaming video
