question about going to job interview at a company
I got a question about job interview for you guys.
i am suppose to go to job interview with a company. However there is 1 catch about this company: everyone has to work 50hrs a week. employees get paid by the hour.
I think 50hrs a week is freaking alot. I don't want to die of heart attack sitting at a desk. I prefer to die of heart attack in bed with a hot chick.
Do you guys think I should decline this job interview??
That's entirely your decision.
You only know what you are willing and able to do and what not.
But if you have objections against 50 hours beforehand this might not be your task then.
However, good luck in finding a suitable job.
50 hours a week isn't that much really... of course, my only real job was the Army, so my idea of a work day is probably a lot different from your's. I mean, the thing to consider is does the job pay well? Is it something that you will enjoy? If so, then take it. There are a lot of people in this world who work 50 hours or more, and it's really not that big of a deal. Thak, for example, works at least 60 hours a week, and still has plenty of time for me and Erin while he's not deployed.

I think you've already answered your own question.
However, whether you decide to take the job or not, I would go to that interview anyways, just to get good practice with the interview process, and learn more about the company. If after the interview they offer you a job, you can still say yes/no then.

It doesn't matter how much it pays or how much you have to work...
the only question you need to ask yourself is, will this job get me out of bed in the mornings... you need to enjoy your career, you spend majority of your waking hours working, if you can't enjoy it, you'll die an early death!
