On the domestic front, the gentleman below once worked with stridently anti-Communist elements among the Vietnamese community in Orange County.

An Asian man calling another Asian man a "monkey" has not meant and still does not mean the same thing as someone calling a black man a "monkey" or another species of primates and the same applies if one were to call a white man a "monkey." Context especially in the framework of culture and historicity of that given cultural context is everything and you're smart enough to know that.
