Bay Area, between Chile and Hawaii - May 17 +/or 22, 2008 (Round 1)
I'm passing through the Bay Area to a meeting on the Big Island of Hawaii. On the way there, I'll be in the East Bay on Saturday, May 17, from about noon to noon of the following day. On the way back, I'm in San Francisco on Thursday, May 22, from about noon to noon of the following day. For the gainfully employed and/or studious, I realize the Saturday has a better shot, whereas the Thursday might be a tougher sell.
In any case, it would be great to meet some of you in the City for :
- beer, e.g., San Francisco Brewing Company, near Columbus & Kearny
- food, e.g., Kam Po (Chinese), at Broadway & Powell; Betelnut (Asian fusion), 2030 Union St., south of Lombard/Marina.
So, while the above are merely suggestions, drinks and/or dinner somewhere on one or both of the dates above would be swell. Rain is no deterrent, not that I particularly enjoy the rain, having been born and raised in the Canadian southwest.
Scheduled for this coming August is Round-2 back to Hawaii, after which I hope to stick around a couple of days longer in the Bay Area for another chance to meet.
