My brother's second wife was from Ohio. She ripped out the entire bathroom doorframe when she saw her first Palmetto Bug. It was on the wall near the ceiling, and she thought it was mighty large, but she wasn't too worried about it at first because it was on the opposite side of the room.

Yeah, it's the flying part that really gets me. Any bug that has an unpredictable path like flying, jumping, hopping, web sliding....it ain't fer me....gives me the willies just thinking about it....eeeeeee.
I knew a girl that lived in Florida growing up and they kept the cereal in the frig to keep the bugs out.....ick...

Yeah, cereal goes in the refrigerator! It's the only way the bugs stay out. That, or you get some really air tight containers and put it in those instead. Those bugs will get into just about anything else!
