sister's band "sugarspun" playing in SF 7/9
Hey guys,

Here is the myspace page of my sister's band (all composed of Filipinos--she's the only girl--called "sugarspun"). You can listen to demo tracks on there (she plays keyboards and sings). There will be a show this week at the Hotel Utah in SF this Wednesday at 9pm (and another one in August, also in SF).

Yeah, DeathCab is also what I told her the first time I heard their stuff.

The drummer in the band was part of the very well known alternative band Julie Plug (also an all Filipino group).

Nah, this is just me as the big bro trying to tell people about them! My genre is more musical theatre, so this stuff is not in my comfort zone (to perform anyway).

Wow, great sounds. And that's coming from a son who's mother was in a band and was a picky musician. I wouldn't mind hooking up with a group of people to hear them. I'll just have to pull some strings to have someone cover for me at this other event.
