I've also wanted to learn hip hop for awhile now!

So yes, I would definitely come to that!
As far as salsa goes... here are a few links of my favorite salsa venues:
gllounge - THE GREEN LANTERN RESTAURANT & LOUNGE
San Francisco Salsa Dance Club Bay Area Salsa Dancing Lessons
:
Hot Salsa Fridays - P B & G Dance Productions! (::
Here's how it works: No need to sign up for the class in advance, just show up at the venue and pay the cover charge (around $8 - $15). You don't need to bring a partner to be in the class, because there are plenty of people taking the class also, the male-female ratio would not be a problem.
There is usually a beginner's lesson which lasts for an hour. The beginner's lesson teaches the basic steps and is useful for anyone who has never danced salsa before. Followed by an advanced lesson for another hour.
After the lessons, the DJ or a live salsa band comes on and plays salsa music so everyone can dance until 1am or so. The place gets pretty packed, and there are dancers of all levels, so you will always find someone to dance with.
Sometimes, I just sit back and watch the really good dancers coz they are fun to watch. If all else fails, just head to the bar area and grab a few drinks.... eventually.... everyone turns into the "salsa king" or "salsa queen".... after they've had a few drinks in them.
So anyways, hip hop or salsa lessons (or any other type of lessons) is fine with me. As I've mentioned to CD, people always show up when the ladies organize the meetup... so I'll leave it up to the ladies to decide the time and place for the next meetup.
