this is not western culture mate, that's american culture, if that's what you want to call it.
I'll grant you the excuse of being 21, but still, your ignorance is baffling. And offensive.
Would you take me seriously if I told you (assuming I lived in Japan) that what i loved about asian culture was sushi and origami? and frankly, both sushi and origami are actually good things, unlike firearms and fried shitken.
back to the thread, i don't actually think that there's a type of women attracted to asian men. Look at the women on this forum, different looks, backgrounds, races, ages...liking different things about them.
and in my limited experience of asian men, apart from the ones that actually live in asia (ie-the real deal), the others don't have that much in common anyway when looking beyond the appearance.
A chinese guy brought up in a western country becomes more westernised and shares little similarities with his Beijing counterpart. I definitely sees it since joining this website.
And at this stage holds the same appeal to me as a blonde guy would if I was into blondes. The personality plays a big part, and the looks are just the main attraction at first but afterwards, it's like being with a guy from any other country.
The chinese-americans are like americans, the UK ones, like the other brits, with same interests and attitude. There are some little background differences but they are not as wide as it 1st appears.
I am interested in asian culture but won't really find it when spending time with a western country born-and-bred asian.
I guess the asian men raised in a western culture won't really be into a girl who is interested in asian culture as it has little to do with them and she'd probably know more about it than they do.
their life will be more about big macs and Brad Pitt than pork buns and Leon Lai.
I really want someone to disagree on this and prove me wrong by the way.
Okay - I have to jump in and disagree I'm a Chinese-American, and am into things considered "American" and "Chinese". When it comes to American "culture", I'm into football (sorry, the hard-hitting American kind, burgers (so true), and NASCAR. However, I am also into Chinese history (warlord era), philosophy, the language, and folk tales (trying to explore this in more details these days). I would definitely be into a woman (of whatever ethnicity) who is into Chinese culture. I would definitely appreciate a dim sum accomplice (custard cakes, or chicken feet, anyone?) to Jiang Wen flicks with. Good times...
I think it depends on the person really. Some women are attracted to farm animals :P but... anyways, I lived here for more than a decade, and a half, there are girls who are around my age that is attracted to me. A lot of times it's me who has to avoid these girls... regardless of what. I guess it's the Hong Kong "Chinese" men mentality :P
I'm 21 years old now. I'm still alone, and single. I rarely talks to girls who ask me things that are unrelated to work. Most the time I ignore them, but I suppose I don't mind making friends who are caucasian women. that's why I'm here I talk too little in person.
I love the western culture a lot, firearms, fried chicken, but women is something I haven't decided about yet... I guess I'm like most of the strange honger men.
Personally, it is a matter of just getting out there and not thinking as much about the rejection because of being Asian part. I honestly wasn't really attracted to Asian guys a couple years ago. Nothing against, but just never really thought about it or was attracted to. Then all of a sudden, there is a new guy at work and for some reason, I'm just instantly attracted to him. It surprised me, because he happened to be Asian. We hung out a bit, and it didn't work out, but I was hooked after that. lol. It just opened up a whole new 'world" for me really. Now I have a preference for Asian guys, but I also have a new appreciation for all races now. so you never know what is going to happen with a girl. Just take the chance and you might be surprised.
yes, there is a type of woman who love Asian guys: the kind that were won over after sleeping with me. I'll send you my spreadsheet. It's time to pass the torch.
Here are fat, and old white men. Who likes to talk with a deep voice, and ask racist questions. They look like the usual farmer type. Lol It is langley after all, agriculture is popular among here.
If you're also from Hong Kong , you should take being careful seriously. We live in the two most racist countries on earth. I don't even trust the range officer.
Hmmm... Randi Rogers and Jesse Abbate came from the cowboy action shooting venue. Neither of them look fat, old or even men. But they shoot for Glock and can whip probably over 90 percent of the law enforcement officers here in the states in hi speed gun handling and accuracy.
You are so wrong... I was born in Hong Kong and spent some years of my childhood there, but yet I'm nothing like brit people beside having good brit people manners(I dont do jaywalking). I grew up in Canada, I do like firearms, and fried chicken very much, however, as a honger man, not honger woman I still like Leon Lai, and Andy Lau alot! after all in Canada I was raised in a Chinese community, and went to Chinese school.
Even today, of course I have my hong kong(smart id ), and mainland China identities. To tell you the truth, I like a girl from hong kong, instead of a girl from here. I find the girls in hong kong to be elegant :P ,however, they don't like me because I grew up here.... to them I'm considered to be very uneducated, very dumb, very stupid, and very westernised.
Look, concentrate on buying signals from the woman you are attracted to and send some her ways. Concentrate on what you can control (your attitude)and forget about what you can't (such as race). Just focus on her, what you have to offer her then on what you can get as a result. Remember, its all about her.
The only questions I ask myself is what makes her tick, what makes her smile, what makes her laugh, what makes her mad, what turns her on......you get the idea.

As far as I know she's not otherwise particularly attracted to Asian men. I wonder if many of us (my Asian brothers) are forced into a position where we have to look for women who're specifically into Asian guys.
I said "forced" because I can imagine how bad it bruises your ego when you are rejected by a non-Asian woman on the ground of your race. It's no longer a matter of being humiliated yourself, it's humiliating to your family, your culture and many people you grew up with and care about.
So the question comes down to this - when you approach a woman, do you consciously or subconsciously ask yourself first - is she attracted to Asians? - instead of "I hope I can charm her over".
I'd be the first to admit that I pop that question to myself when I approach a perfect stranger. I've dated women of all races, most of whom aren't particularly looking for Asian guys, and I have rarely been rejected on any ground, but I still can't seem to get over that on a subconscious level.
I'd have to agree with you smartprimate
Depending on the signals girls give you, normally you would know if she's interested. As for me I would only approach a girl if she really catches my eye or I've been seeing her around alot, otherwise they normally approach me.
