Hm, I used to watch many Kdramas way back in the day. As a woman though, I was less bothered by what you cite as a desexualized portrayal of Asian men. What perturbed me more was how @$!^%# irritating the women characters are and how, in spite of their crappy personalities, snag good looking and rich men. If someone can inform me of a Kdrama where the female lead isn't always crying, falling down or whining and the male leads have better taste, please let me know so I can start watching them again.
"Usually when people are sad, they don't do anything. They just cry over their condition. But when they get angry, they bring about a change."

You are not the only one to notice this, and it's not just K-dramas either. I get annoyed too when I see a lead female characters acting like they're five years old with a bad temper and all around annoying personality. And then the dudes in the show just eat it up.
I would apperciae it if some you K-Drama fans can answer my question.
My mom didn't know this K-drama's name and she watches a ton.
It has a lead male character who sports an afro. They live on the roof of a buidling I think. I didn't watch it a lot, but I'm trying to figure out the name.
The reason is.. I'm trying to find that pic of the lead male character with the afro.

Sure it is a male? As it sounds like the drama 'Sang-Doo Let's Go To School.' And most of the scenes with the afro (although female) was on a roof top.
"I cry like a lil bitch!" - Harabuji. lol. 감사합니다...

No. No. It was a guy. There were no girls with afros.
The guy liked to write about martial arts novels and stuff. It's a romantic and comedy stuff.
I know not giving enough hints, but somebody here must have watched it.
