well i know i haven't been posting here for a while, but particularly due to the fact i have really lame internet urgh

met someone here from belgium yesterday. it was at a small internet cafe. it was only both of us at scene. her friend has left earlier though. well realising that she was sitting next to my table for 30 mins, i realised there was nothing to lose to make myself to be known.

so i asked her about what language was she conversing through skype. told me it was dutch. so from there, we started off, asking each other questions. turns out shes currently having an internship with the UN, beginning last week.

well we started exchanging conversations, asking about cultures and places. i guess it felt more comfortable for me to talk to them, compared to local women, i don't know why but everything seems natural

so we ended up exchanging phone numbers and even msn within an hour's chat. i guess she was impressed with the fact im multi-lingual and has a vast knowledge in many ways.

well i don't know if im doing the right thing or simply jumping the gun too fast

well, i told her, "im sorry to bother you now, but im curious what language are you speaking on skype. i said, it didn't looked like norwegian, swedish, german, italian, certainly not russian." and she replied it was dutch and i told her no wonder it was familiar. i had a dutch friend back in 05. well i guess i need to go slow and seek opinion from you guys who have encounters with european women

If you want to pick up a tourist, you have to be more direct and move faster than that, buddy. The window of opportunity is very small and will be gone in a flash. You can only afford to be patient & slow if you see the girl all the time.

Dancelot brings up a point though...how long will she be there with the UN? If she's only going to be there for a week, you're going to have to move faster, but if she'll be there longer, then you can afford to move a little slower.
