I guess you at first didn't even realize that it was wrong.
Myself at elemantary school, first class, the teacher gives us some words to write.
Teacher when seeing me playing with something: "write those words please!"
Me: "But I know how to write them already, it's boring."
Teacher: "If you don't write them I am going to call your mum."
Me: "please do so."
He called her and told her that I am refusing to write some words saying that I can do it already. He admitted to her that I am "unfortunately" right but that he can't let that pass in front of the other children, disciplinary reasons and all that.
My mum replied to him that he can tell me if I don't write them I get my ass smacked at home.
He told me, I wrote the words.
Yes, I was a wiseass in the age of 7 already.
Same treatment for everyone seems to be way more important at "modern" schools than supporting each kid according to it's talents.
But that's not my "worst" story, just how it all begun.
