Guys do you like seeing non-Asian women in traditional Asian dress?

If so, which traditional dress do you prefer?

Ladies which ones do you like?

Aside from very cute Chinese dresses, kimonos & Yutaka (summer kimonos) I haven't tried any others.

I absolutely LOVE the "Ao dai" which are the traditional Vietnamese dresses. For me, I think it's the most figure flattering. Not sure about the hats though.

I love love love love mandarin collars .... but they have to be done right. I have one dress that is black that has a mandarin collar and buttons all the way down the front ... absolutely gorgeous.

Some of those dresses can only be pulled off by thin body types ... or else you look like a sausage.

'cept for the really traditional ones. Im not familiar with all those but the more modern ones are super sexy.

Especially on non-asian girls.

I dont like the old skool Korean Han Bohks much. The colors are too... reminds me of something from the circus. And the material is itchy!

I personally find Hanbok to be very elegant, albeit formal looking. Those 'Cheong-Sam' "Chinese dresses" that white women wear to day have been adulterated, or 'updated', for the times.

I have worn saris before without the veil. Very elegant. I have a pale green silk Chinese dress without a mandarin collar, more like a sheath dress. It is the most figure flattering and it turns heads. I would like to wear something inspired by the kimono.

Oooooooh I love traditional clothes! We're supposed to be getting me an outfit from northern Thailand (the part Thak's family comes from) and I can't wait to see how I look in it. Oooooh and you know what else I love is those Thai gypsy skirts. They're so pretty. I also love the first and last ones Adriana posted. If I was going to the Physics department social this year, that last one would be perfect. Unfortunately, I am not going to the physics department social. LOL
