Me too, sug! I thought it was absolutely breathtaking! So beautiful, awesome, over the top, exciting....on and on with the adjectives....it was spectactular! In addition to tearing up, I was wearing goosebumps a lot too! I missed part of it due to painting my kitchen, but I would peek in every few minutes to see what was happening and then I would be glued to the tv for 15 minutes! Haha! It took a long time for me to paint the one wall I painted! Hahaha.....but thank the heavens for the AT&T DVR! I recorded it and I'm gonna watch it again soon!

I liked that part where the 56 kids from different provinces of China carried in the flag.

I don't think anyone else can really top that ceremony...spectacle, history, cultural relevance and totally entertaining! I read articles where Londoners were wondering what they could do to surpass China's performance. Maybe they should go for comedy. Perhaps an homage to Sid Vicious and the Sex Pistols with some Monty Python-like color commentary....
