ah well. if they can't perceive how uncultured and idiotic they're making themselves look, its their loss. someone should fire their publicist.

on a somewhat related note, the spanish team is mad weak. i've been tuning into their games because they're supposed to be the redeem teams biggest comp, but pau gasol is a gigantic puss.

ricky rubio is fun to watch though. as is la bomba!

Spain, like most countries, has its share of xenophobes and chauvinists, and maybe a little more. Just the fact that none of the individuals involved have stepped up to say that they made a mistake pretty much says it all. Was that picture even funny to Spaniards? Marketing, in most countries, is not the profession of fools, so there must have been some agreement after some deliberation that the particular picture would be a hit with Spain's basketball fans.
