Replying to Apollyon. I think we have to accept that there is a racial caste-system in this country. AMs need to get Radically StreetSmart--Much Sharper, Quicker, & much less self-confined in terms of our functional performance potential by the limitations of the popular aesthetics--then AMs can stop with all the little-dick-comical bitterness(not you) and start LOL at the WILE E. COYOTE-like idiocy of their system--this is the country that picked david carradine over Bruce Lee! IMO, if the majority of AMs achieved their potential at the game of LIFE, they would be like blackguys in the 50's watching whiteguys playing BBall. And, really, can a nation of Chuck Norrises REALLY hold us back? ------------- But then again: There is no theory of evolution, just a list of creatures that Chuck Norris allows to live....the rollingaroundlaughingsmilie
Umm, Nah, I don't think a this nation is even full of Chuck Norris types...more like spoiled brat cowboys. Those few that remain individualistic are those that really triumph. But the rest of your post I agree with completely. And I think many more Asian males, including minorities of other ethnicities are doing that.
I run around Afropunk (for black kids and other minorities who play rock music, stealing the music back!) and Asian Indie circles, we'll be seeing awesome stuff in the next 5-10 years. We are at work already!

My assistant came into the office with her lunch one day and after I glanced up I said, "You have to give me your bag
when you pull your food out." She looked at me so strangely...*laughs* And then she carefully put her lunch on her desk,
folded the bag and handed it to me without saying a word. She's used to me being weird, but I finally explained the reason,
which she thought was nice.
He should totally start a band, get some distortion and play that cello like a guitar...something non-traditional like Ken Oaks.
Sublimityeternal. Afropunk? Sounds CoolEternal--never get old you. One of my boys was AMBF--Double the Soul: Black sense of reality, Asian-random sense of humor. Black laidback, Asian Second Coming of Bruce Lee. RIP. It is 2008: Here's to the Future. And girl, you got Sweet eyes. Sweet, Sweet eyes on the Asianman. Dag, this post & my memories of bros past bring to mind Celtic's halloween pics also, Celtic you cool too. To the Future, All.
I was randomly flipping through channels just now and landed on this show on the Bio TV channel. I paused because of the host...and thought some of you here might be interested to know that he is a Canadian named Lawrence Chau. I'm not so much into the subject of the show beyond entertainment/amusement, but I'm happy about their choice to use an Asian male as the host. It's on right now until 9pm on the East coast if anyone wants to catch it.
Here's a few paragraphs about him from Bio TV: Host Bio
ROFL. A good the-paradigm-has-shifted-SOOOOO-much-post. The dude in the above pic is hilarious. But a lot of the other "positive" AMs in this thread seem to be from some other, less insane, UNIVERSE....
Shell has this current promo campaign with the Asian dude. You can see the "duo" on all Shell gas stations here in So Cal at least. They also have commercials that play at the gas station when you activate the pump. The "duo" also promotes Shell Citibank credit cards. When the campaign started almost all the Shell stations had huge posters of them plastered at the stations.
Here's a TV commercial Shell made. I still see this (and it's other variations) on TV now.
