Style and FashionIs that name brand or is it Target? Black or blue goes with what color again??
I really like the style in the last pic but just without the scarf. It's classic, simple and sophisticated.
I like the scarf/button down shirt, but I'm not a big fan of the color tan and would prefer a little texture in the scarf. Maybe a subdued grayed-down blue or Italian olive or even dark burnt orange.
With the pics of single items I posted, I imagined them combined with other elements in layers (weather/climate permitting, of course). I like dark and muted colors, and earthy/Autumn colors (for myself as well) - so not so much into jewel tones and hot colors generally. That, of course, doesn't mean that some men can't pull it off, and generally, I think you're going to look more confident if you feel good about what you're wearing.
I'm pretty eclectic myself, so I like both the sophisticated, classic tailored look at times, and the edgy deconstructed look also. I also like interesting hats. In the right situation, hats can be pretty awesome.
I know this is something that a lot of people would not feel comfortable with, but I like the textures and details of this tweed waistcoat, and it can be dressed up or dressed down.

Well now, y'see, I was going to mention that, but I've realized that the guys think I'm making fun of them with the kilt idea. In reality, I'm dead serious about it. *shrugs*
Saying so apparently isn't convincing anyone, so I've let it be (with only the exception of special requests in another specific thread).

I completely agree with your style sense Celtic. Variety is certainly the spice of life.
I really like this waistcoat! Although I think I'd prefer it more if the pocket only had one button.

i don't know about asian guys in pastel..it is hot on same. i have had a "lover" who is a complete and total player assface blah blah blah who wore one or two pastel colors. and it looked good on him even though he had that "i am rough and tough" attitude.
i know this guy who is an engineer type, and i had a conversation with him regarding fashion. i said, hey dude, why don't you dress differently, you know? like you work out, why dont' you wear clothes that accentuates your chest or shoulders?
you know what he said? "man, i don't wanna look like one of those dicks at the clubs with thier shirts half-opened"
my response: "well those dicks at the clubs leave with the hottest girls at the clubs"
"it's just not me"
what's HIM? i mean really, we're talking about getting women here, not changing the very nature of who we are.
i think your friend is smart. it is not always about the top of the line fab and trend. i am sure people can see that he takes good care of himself. that is attractive in itself, much more than fashion in some regards. yes, one should have some clothes that can look good on the person. but, it is confidence in which brings everything altogether. if he wants hot chicks, he just needs a hot body and face....nothing else really matters if you are only looking to bone down.
