Style and FashionIs that name brand or is it Target? Black or blue goes with what color again??
Are all quality and non-generic clothes in America expensive?
In Asia, indigenuous brands are cheaper and of a better cloth quality than imported brands.

Then the mall. This is when I thought A&E and Abercrombie were the shit.
Just recently I started buying Diesel, Affliction, etc for 2-3X more money per shirt but they definitely stand out and fit better.
The thing is, I used to buy a lot of shirts that were pretty cool but not all that great because they were on sale or cheap. But really, all I need is some really nice clothes that are easily interchangable.
I still wear polos from Express mainly because they look clean yet shexy because of the colours and fitting.
I like urban wear I guess? No dress shirts, khakis, pants...Some fitted polos for spring and summer only. Pretty much wear jeans, tight tees, and assorted dunks & chucks. Throw on a wool coat, track jacket, windbreaker, fleece, whatever the weather calls for.
I am back in school at the moment, so my attention to the daily attire is seriously lacking. I do miss dressing up for work, always loved going shopping for new shirts, ties and cufflinks. But like everything else in life, nice things cost money! And it is especially true, when it comes to designer apparels, sure you could be thrifty and shop smart, but items from most top end boutiques never goes on sale. And it also sucks, when you are 6’2” and 200 lbs like me, those boutiques only carry cloth that is made for super slim dudes, you almost never find a large size that is actually large. Once I finish school, I am going to get a nice tailor made suit, it’s going to be damn fine! Good suits are important investments for any guys. But most important of all, is to develop your own sense of style early on, because you don’t want to look like someone else is dressing you up, no one knows you better than yourself, but to do that you will need to acquire the basic knowledge on how to dress properly and effectively, such as color & pattern combinations. Educate yourself by investing some money on different books and magazines; GQ is always an easy source for a lot of relevant facts. But I don’t dress up for the sake of dressing up, I do it because I know we humans interacts with each other most often on a superficial level, at this level, it is the primitive instincts are most often the invisible hand that guides our choices, therefore being prepared on that superficial level, will give you the slight upper hand in the competitive nature of this world.
I definitely don't know how to dress. I have no idea what I look good in, or what looks good on me. I guess I really don't want to spend the time and money figuring it out, either.
haha yeah i have the same problem sometimes... but funny enough i have much a better taste in woman's clothing .... coz i guess i go shopping with gals all the time.... but i think these days, a nice shirt and a nice trendy jeans or slight dress pant but not dress pant yet kind of pants go real nice with leather shoe... it's the easiest hting... but damn those good looking pants all cost like $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

i know this guy who is an engineer type, and i had a conversation with him regarding fashion. i said, hey dude, why don't you dress differently, you know? like you work out, why dont' you wear clothes that accentuates your chest or shoulders?
you know what he said? "man, i don't wanna look like one of those dicks at the clubs with thier shirts half-opened"
my response: "well those dicks at the clubs leave with the hottest girls at the clubs"
"it's just not me"
what's HIM? i mean really, we're talking about getting women here, not changing the very nature of who we are.
not necessarily that those types are the one that leaves with the hot chic coz unless u r buff with good pec muscles then not much point ... the thing is not to button ur shirt up like a business shirt but to leave enough open yet not to expose your whole chest becuase that's can act as a tease for gal to want to see more... can't flaunt it all ... you watch too many hollywood movies man.... you forgetting those that do the shirt open thing is like those model who's got the looks... it's the look ....
know this guy in person and he sure leaves bar with chics

You know the thing is, I don't even think it's so much about the clothes, as much as it's about embracing a look. It's something you need to commit too.
Excercising your body to try to pull off the clothes your trying to wear, like if your going to wear abercrombie, work on getting really cut with low weight and high muscle mass, if your trying to pull off a rock star look, then try to gain big arms and big chest, depending on what kind of rock star look your going for I suppose. If your going to try to dress GQ then do a pillates, light weight, and high cardio type regiment.
If your going to go for a look then go all out, like if your going to dress abercrombie like 90% of the time, then go tanning and weightlift and get similar hairstyles really try to look like an abercrombie model and get accesories to match, which is really important.
If your going to try to look like a rock star like 90% of the time then try to embrace that lifestyle, constantly wear sunglasses, wear skull wallet chains, and big jewelary it doesn't have to be the point to where u look like a jackoff, but do a lil something something. Hell even get a tattoo or two if you wanna stay with that look for a long time, you know go to rock concerts and try to live that lifestyle.
If your going to dress GQ always have perfectly slicked back hair, get manicures and pedicures on a weekly basis, have your shoes constantly shined, try to be very well groomed, shave every single morning, own like 20 different suits and 40 different ties with every single color knee high coat you can find, save some money and buy that leather strap rolex.
So many asian guys or just guys in general, they never really strive to become what they want the world to see them as. They end up becoming medicore, they end up becoming this messy collaberation of ugly pinstripe abercrombie polo's with unfitted slacks. I'm not saying you have to go all out for all looks, I'm just saying always have one solid look you can pull off without fail.
Anyway mine is urban rock star diesel and g-star jeans, affliction hoodie, leather jacket, skull chains, big rings, sunglasses and military tops. I'm not saying those aforementioned looks are the only looks out there, I'm just saying those r the 3 that comes to mind right now.
