Try and think fashionable but not too pricey. No need to spend a lot on something you should only be wearing for one season cuz then you'll be accused of "he's so last summer". But be careful when waiting for items to go on sale cuz it's usually toward the end of the season or they're bombs that just couldn't sell at full fare.
Fuck the 'extremely well made' reasoning unless you want to be wearing it for years and years thus, "he's so last decade". You'll still be wearing suits you purchased 6 yrs ago. Good for ol' timers but not you and I, eh?

young asian guys from asia are fashion-conscious but seem to err a bit on the side of trendiness. (i think even the urban guys in China dress better than guys here now)
while western-born asian guys dress like the average preppy white guy.. which is kind of boring..
and yeah you can usually spot the progammers and engineers..

Congjoo- Canadians, especially in Montreal, dress differently than people from the US. First off, many parts of the US is just filled with huge fat ass people and the vast majority live in nowhereville, USA. They dress like shit.

Hmm I wouldn't say that. A bit feminine, but not ugly.

If you're wondering what looks good on you, ask a good girl-friend to go with you shopping. My bf asked me to go shopping with him for casual clothes this last time and I'm glad he did. We found some universal good-looking stuff that he can match with pretty much everything. He already has nice suits for work, but he needs a little bit of help for weekend wear (I still wish he'd replace those ratty-ass Reeboks that he continues to haunt me with), but he's getting better. He's not much of a fashion hound, and that's okay--that's not his personality. But when we go out for dinner, he refers back to those items that we bought and that makes it easier for him. He knows that I have a lot of fashion sense and have a good eye for how things go together, so at least he asks for my opinion and approval.
I like all the pics I've seen so far--all of these guys look well put together, especially the first photo of this thread. He looks casual but HOT.

Ok.
But man, I do have to say...
Compared to the guy in the picture, we have a LOT of incredibly good looking guys here on the site!

Interesting topic. I too agree that from what I've seen with the fashion trend in Korea, I must say the young Koreans seems to be the leaders of good fashion sense in Asia.
They seem to be going for the 'casual GQ' look for men. And an 'understated minimalist elegance' look for women. Looks great. Anybody knows what I'm talking about?
If I had the money, I'd try to go for that 'casual GQ' look too.

i sometimes have trouble finding clothes because I'm short (5'6) and most guys here (australia) are like 6'+
But I don't think its hard finding good clothes, for me it takes a bit more effort and sometimes I hard to get things altered. I think for a lot of guys I see they could try a little harder to impress, not just asians but white guys as well its just common sense and looking at yourself in the mirror saying 'yeah, I look like a dork, therefore, DO NOT buy this'.
