Where? What? Who? Why?Advice and support when you have questions to ask or need a shoulder to lean on.
In your judicial area, what is the law regarding civilian intervention in an act of violence?
If you saw a man being mobbed and beaten by people in what appears to be a race hate crime, what are you legally allowed to do or not do?
Could you and a few other concerned citizens break up the mob and conduct a citizen's arrest? May force be used? What about used in self-defense?
What about the use of firearms to prevent imminent danger to another human being?
What about exposure to tort and other civil liabilities?
I understand that a lot of people are concerned about the law, and rightfully so. However I think that it is unconscionable for people to look away and do nothing merely because they are ignorant about where they stand if they should assist.
So with this kind of thing happening, and this goes on quite a bit here in the UK btw, its little wonder people want to get involved huh?
I suppose it doesnt matter what the law is really, here in the UK, people are just afraid, and those brave enough to take on the law brakers, and those that cause trouble, end up sometimes worse off.
And small note ---> The police are fucking useless!
i recall recently there was some case of a dood who shot dead a burglar that was robbing his neighbours place. they had his call on 911 and him telling the cops he wasnt going to let the bad guys get away if the cops doesnt show up on time. of course, because no one in their right minds can condemn him for protecting his neighbour. the fact that he killed the burglar puts a few questions up for debate. and i didnt follow the case to see what happened but i doubt they would charge him. probably better that he killed the burglar rather then have him alive and get sued by the robber (as we've seen in the U.S.)

Question for you Rogue.
Have you yourself tried to break up some sort of squabble, or assist in helping to prevent a crime of sorts?
If so, what was it that took place, how did you help out, and what was the outcome?
