im a financial economics major, and supporter of the free market but a huge liberal.

Why america is in sucha shithole it is now is because of the policies perpetuated by Republicans who think the solution to everything is just cutting taxes. News for you buddy, supply side economics was never proven to work.

George W. Bush and a Republican congress has done everything in their power to undermine America from solvency of our fucking Financial system to our rights as Americans... I can go on for hours.

Two of the men I most respect, Warren Buffet and George Soros are liberal. While the man I hate the most, Rupert Murdoch is conservative. And a fascist.

Anyways, I honestly don't care whether the person I date is liberal or conservative. If shes liberal we can get along, if not... well I'll still win the arguments.

In Europe other Anglo-Saxon frontier countries excluding the US, we have the conservatives and the labor/social democrats.

The US seems paranoid with socialism. Not everything associated with it is bad. I for one believe in socialising healthcare and education. The US must be mad by remaining one of the only developed countries who still don't have comprehensive healthcare coverage for its citizens. And look at the social democrat govts in Scandinavia. Miles ahead of the US in terms of service provision.

I take a liberal approach. I don't mind if the guy I'm dating is conservative, as long as he doesn't try to change me...of course I think I'm asking for way too much here. An example would be that I've dated really religious guys in the past who were okay with my agnosticism for awhile but then things started to get weird. I remember one ex would place a bible on the table next to me while we were talking and telling me I need to read it, then start lecturing me. Um...it's not like I haven't read the Bible before or ever been to church...I went through communion. Placing a bible in front of me and preaching isn't going to suddenly change my mind.
