I've been battling this for a few years now, and now another pale splotch has happened! This time, on my head in the area between the eyebrows...which makes it even worse.

Yes, it has started to freak me a bit, but my mother seems to be the one that flies off the handle even more on that one, because she thinks I've got some bad disease or something...mind you, it's probably the skin changing part and the complexity of this disease that makes it hard for her to understand.

Fortunately, I've already got a scheduled appointment with the dermatologist in the next week, and he'll look at it further...

yes, i do. i never really knew the name and i have probably forgotten the name. my step father has that. parts of his skin are pure white.

i would not think it is not that big of a deal unless you are in the sun all the time or a lot or something. i have not heard my step father complain about it ever unless he got sunburned.
