I'm trying to get in with Google and need tips from those who work there or have friends there. I've heard it takes awhile to hear back from them but how long is awhile? I know, I know patience!!
Is there a particular group/area that you are looking at or interested in?

I have a story about working near Google. Well, I use to work in the next building in Mtn. View where they are headquartered at and they would park their semi-trailer that they would cater the FREE food for their employees so when lunchtime rolls around, I can smell the great gourmet food that the personal chefs would cook and I was soooo jealous. We got nothing like that where I worked at the time. Maybe just free soda and snacks... that was about it. So during lunch, you would see streams of people walking over to our campus for lunch on their bikes or walking and you knew where they were headed. I think recently they were voted as one of the best places to work because they treat their employees pretty nicely with plenty of perks. And they ride their bikes everywhere, its a good form of transportation there. You ride it somewhere, someone picks it up and they ride it somewhere, its like a borrow a bike system. Nice idea.
I've heard really great things about how they treat their employees. How could anyone not want to work there. I'm really really smart....honest!

I live about 5 mins from Google in Cali. I have a couple of friends that work there. one's a engineer, one is in business and one is a sourcer. What happened to the seattle job? Shoot me an email we can talk about this in detail and i can see what i can do to help.

Seattle stuff is still in the works but it's good to keep your options open. Google is my ultimate goal. I'm networking!!!
