Where? What? Who? Why?Advice and support when you have questions to ask or need a shoulder to lean on.
I was wondering because I want to know how do you handle the two jobs? I had two jobs at the same time before and that lasted about a month before I got worn out! Mainly because, I was doing both the same day. This time I am gonna work at the second one on my mainly OFF days from my other job. If I can make that work some how. But, I am about to give it a go because of a few family problems. So, I am just wondering what advice can you give me to not be TOO worn out? I think I can last until we move from here. That will be less than a year I hope. I say we have like 11 months left. That is less than a year..
This may be too late, since you've already got the jobs. But from my experience, I would try to find a second job that was different from the first.
If one is more physical, try to make the second one more relaxed. That way you give your mind and body a rest. I think that makes it feel less like having the same job all week long. For me, the change in pace was more important than anything else.
One thing to keep in mind. Make sure your tax witholdings account for the extra income. I got burned because the two jobs I had were only witholding based on the money I earned at each job. I ended up owing a lot of taxes, because the combined money pushed me into a higher tax bracket.
I only had to pay $100 something to taxes because they did not take enough out.
I hope they don't have that happen with this place.."
I am sure to get the job. Because they NEED the help! But, I have not gotten it yet.
I didnt get worn out because I told one of my jobs that i wouldnt work weekends because i didnt have a sitter for my kid. and the other job was a school...so i had weekends off anyway.
during the week...was crazy tho. i'm up at 5:45... rushing to get me and my daughter ready. drop her off at day care and get to work by 7am. work til noon..sometimes 1pm. go home.. rest for an hour to get to the school by 2:00pm. run around with a bunch of 1st graders until 6pm. after that... back to the day care to pick up my daughter. then home by 6:45ish. i would make dinner. adri gets dinner at the daycare...sometimes i didnt like what she had...so i'd feed her some more. she's greedy and would eat it anyways. we run around and play for awhile.. by 9 or 10pm she is put to sleep. and thats when i have ME time. i would stay up till midnight or 1am... watching tv..online, or cleaning. I did this everyday for about six months.
having weekends off helped..but even then sometimes i would go in to one of my jobs for extra cash and just have a friend watch adri for me. I didnt get worn out tho. i dont know how. but i actually liked working two jobs. it kept me busy...and my mind off of the shit i was going thru with crazy ex.
I'm known to walk alone...but, i'm alone for a reason
I don't have an ego... I just love how awesome I am

Hello, Neko.
If one is more physical, try to make the second one more relaxed. That way you give your mind and body a rest. I think that makes it feel less like having the same job all week long. For me, the change in pace was more important than anything else.
I have this going on right now. One job keeps me on my feet, moving all day, and dealing with cranky people. On my days off there, I go to my second job which, even though I'm on my feet, moving while I'm there, and dealing with kids, it's considerably less taxing because its KIDS. And typically, my second job isn't nearly as busy as my first, so like ScubaDvr said, I get to give my mind/body a rest, if only a small one.
Either way, you can do it! Millions of people have done it before.

I can't say "no"
